The Story So Far...
After finishing a chemistry degree in 2011, Corey, frustrated with modern life, grew his hair long, moved into a bus, and drove to Victoria to live off the land in a tiny rural town in the middle of nowhere called Beulah. He collected rainwater to drink, grew pumpkins, and did gardening work for the locals in exchange for building materials and a bunch of doors. After he'd collected enough doors, and got sick of pumpkin, he created Criminal Elements, aptly named as a tongue-in-cheek dig at the townsfolk who for quite some time thought he was cooking meth in his bus like that guy from Breaking Bad.
In 2014, Corey collaborated with Aelfrik Spektor to create the 'Base Elements' range, which was officially released in March 2015. A year later, the range was expanded with the release of two new base elements, and two rare elements. Since then, Corey has moved to his old stomping ground in Adelaide, South Australia to work independently on a new range called the 'Classic Elements', with additional rare and transient elements due for release over the next few years.
Criminal Elements continues to push boundaries and challenge the status quo, and to create some weird and wonderful fragrances for the world to enjoy. All fragrances are made by hand from scratch using a variety of cruelty-free aromachemicals, essential oils, absolutes, extracts and tinctures, carefully selected by a discerning nose. Every bottle is hand-made, from the filling to the labelling, and is a reflection of Criminal Elements' attention to detail.
Welcome to the other side of fragrance; where art meets chemistry!
